Other than that I have some more pics for you. These relate to our bird watching activities here at Nuthatch. As you may know, our kennel name is derived from that of a little bird found everywhere here - the Nuthatch. (Pictured below)

In addition to nuthatches, we get a variety of other birds including (please note that none of the bird photos were taken by me with the exception of the fuzzy one taken through a window with an unidentifiable bird in it - the rest are taken by professionals - copyright on photos):
Woodpeckers

Cowbirds

American Goldfinches

Chickadees

Cardinals

Blue Jays

and many more not seen here.
At our house we are avid birdwatchers...

Lucy has to be watched when she birdwatches...

otherwise she tries to get close up view and not only destroys the screen window but also scares off all the birds as well as the chipmunks and squirrels (who have no problem giving her the rodent version of the finger when that window is firmly closed).

yup, you've got some good birdies there. boy howdy, do i love a good bird watch/chase! teehee.

Haha! I likes that little window screen flap there! We have one of those in my patio door screen from when I ran through it. Very much convenient!
ReplyDeleteOh, and me and mom thought that was a Most Beautiful poem. Mom said she gots the chill bumps from reading it. Thank you oh so much for sharing it with us!

Ha! That is why momma only opens our windows from the top, but you can't do that with those sideways windows.
ReplyDeleteI love the gold finches. We have some too and they are super pretty flying about in our gardens.

Birds are a lot of fun to watch. Bogey the cat especially loves to keep a sharp eye on them!
